Beauty in The Bleakness

marveling at the resplendent Peacock 🦚

its extra-ordinary ability to in-gest

poison

and trans-form it into breathtaking, awe-inspiring Beauty.

reminds me of the Lotus πŸͺ·

thriving in bleak

muddy waters πŸ’§

ah, the lessons nature teaches

when we choose to slow down

listen intently,

look up & down & all around carefully,

really lean into

the Totality of Life,

this Moment,

each other.

opportunities abound everywhere

to trans-form the perceived mess and chaos

into gentle medicine for all;

into something vastly different than we’ve ever experienced –

more relevant, courageous, mature, and equitable.

there is unimaginable Beauty in this bleakness.

can you feel it?

the water

water

this is where it all begins

with us

shimmering

in the fluid amniotic

bliss-fully breathing the mother

until summoned

to enter

spitting out the water

to take in the air

our bodies

forever

to consist

mostly

of the water

our journeys

punctuated by

the water

tears

sweat

multiple re-births

bathed in the salty waters

until beckoned

to exit

the wave

returns

to the water

where it all begins

again

stretching

don’t feel like
what I was
then
just yesterday.
body feels looser,
more spacious.
mind,
lighter
a little less judgment
and constriction.
heart
beats slower,
breaks faster,
heals
spontaneously.
all of me
stretching,
breaking agreements
defying parameters
that no longer fit.
maturity
settling in,
eldership,
dusk.

re-mind-er

been immersed
in The Woods
this past week,
roaming blissfully
amidst
trees –
majestic fir,
medicinal cedar,
soaring pine.
each a teacher πŸ™
emanating wisdom –
urgent re-mind-er:
universality
connectivity
community
reciprocity.
messages abound about
The Cycle of Life:
birth
maturation
shedding
inevitable decline
and demise
re-purpose
re-birth.
re-mind-er of
similarities
and uniqueness,
of patterns
and curious deviations,
of Life’s creativity,
humor,
generosity,
and relentless
fearless
experimentation
and playfulness.
re-mind-er
of the ancient
intimate
dance
between
fire and water
de-struction and re-generation.
re-mind-er
of Life’s stunning fragility
and astounding resiliency,
and of Its preferred
pace:
slow
steady
silent
infinitely patient.
no rush,
only profound Trust.
