A Fish out of Water

A Fish cannot survive on land; it was crafted for the Sea with gills and fins – gills to breathe, fins to swim. It does not have feet or a nose. So, should it blame and belittle it-Self for slapping around and gasping for air on land?

No, what it needs is to be placed in its natural habitat to do what it was specially designed to do and be.

Same with the Human: in order to fully thrive and self-actualize, it must be in the right environment.

Genius – which we all have – does not arise in a vacuum. Energy is and in every-thing. Genius (unlike many humans) understands its worth and, hence, will not make an appearance within a context and circumstance that it knows is less than inviting and motivated by fear and insecurity. Genius is a blessing, a gift, Grace – a precious baby birthed at just the right Moment. Like a newborn, it demands attention and diligence. Genius also requires courage – the strength to move aside, to not hide or play small, to re-member what you really are in a world that would rather you forget.

What happens to Genius deferred, the Bird caged with wings clipped, the Human placed in the sea and asked to sing?
